·            Low pressure die casting: This is best suited for car alloy wheels. The mould is kept vertically above the molten bath, which is further connected to a riser tube. When the chamber is pressurized, the molten metal is pulled into the mould.

·            Vacuum die casting: Here the molten metal is placed above the mould, the cylinder becomes the vacuum, which then touches the molten metal in a cavity.

·            Squeeze die casting: This was specially designed for metals with low fluidity. The molten metal is filled in an open chamber, which then closes forcefully, diverting it towards a mold. It is mostly used in, the application of fibre reinforcement and produces dense products.

·   Semi-solid die casting: The machine cuts the metal in small pieces, which are then heated. After the heating, it turns into a solid-liquid or squishy material forced in a cavity where it hardens. It was specially designed for magnesium alloys and aluminium alloys.

Die casting is a very useful technique to manufacture metals with very specific and accurate dimensions. The process of pressure dies casting has been made possible because of reusable metal dies. Several industries are getting benefited from the use of pressure die casting. The cost-effectiveness and precision make it a more demanded machine and method of production in the market.
